What is your shooting style?
I'm a lifestyle photographer with a little bit of an editorial twist. I consider my work to be natural, fun, journalistic and a bit whimsical. Although I do give direction when shooting portraits, I also like to allow things to unfold naturally in order to capture genuine moments and unique personalities. When photographing weddings, I mostly document the day as events unfold organically, however, gentle direction is needed in order to create beautiful and original portraits for the couple, the wedding party and family portraits. I keep this process relaxed and fun... I promise!
Do you shoot more than one wedding in a day?
Absolutely not! I normally don't book more than one wedding a weekend and prefer to limit the amount of couples I take on per year in order to give you the best possible experience!
Do you travel / charge travel fees?
I love to travel and will happily travel anywhere, worldwide. I sometimes charge travel fees, depending on location. Please contact me for more information.
What do you photograph?
I photograph weddings, portraits & editorial style branding images for like minded people who believe photography should be about real and natural story-telling. Please take a few to browse through my galleries and get familiar with my work and style.
I'm ready to book you! How do I do that?
Fabulous! I can't wait to work with you! Please contact me with some information about yourself. From there, we can proceed with the booking your wedding or portrait session... It's a very simple process!
What equipment do you use?
I use professional Canon cameras & lenses. I also shoot medium format film.
How long until I get my photos?
2-3 weeks for a portrait session and anywhere from 8-12 weeks for a wedding, depending upon how busy I am at the time.
What should I wear to an engagement session or family portrait session?
Wear something that you feel awesome in! The most important thing is to be comfortable and to feel like yourself. As a full service photography studio, we will send along suggestions and tips, prior to your session. We are available to guide you every step of the way in order to make sure that you look and feel your best during your session!
May I see or have all of the unedited photos you took at my portrait session or wedding? May I edit the photos myself?
No, sorry. We never release unedited photos. There are always those shots that are less than perfect, due to blinking, off colors or photos that are simply unflattering. We only want to deliver the best! Also, every photo you receive is edited by me. I ask that you do not alter / edit them... that's what I'm here for!
How many photos will I receive?
For a full portrait session you will receive around 45-55 completed images in your gallery. For a full day wedding, you will receive a minimum of 500 photos (usually more!!). For a half day wedding or elopement a minimum of 200.
- Artists reserve the right to only edit & release images considered to be within the photographer's artistic standard and of professional quality.
- In regards to wedding bookings- Please do not book your date with me until you have settled on and secured your venue. A change in venue and/or date, down the road, may lead to a loss of your non-refundable retainer.
- Retainers - retainers are used in order to secure a date / time for both portrait & wedding photography. A retainer holds a date and time just for you, and therefore are non-refundable under any & all circumstances. Please do not proceed with booking your date unless you are absolutely sure that is what you'd like to do. Once a retainer is collected, it will not be given back.
