Since Vivi was born, I have been doing "mini" sessions with her about every 6 months.  Children grow so quickly and she is so different now than she was just 6 short months ago, as a one year old.  it's truly incredible how they are literally changing all of the time.  Crazy!

When I pictured doing this little session, about a month ago or so, I pictured beautiful, warm, spring weather, and my happy little girl (with her hair combed nicely), standing out in the evening sunlight.  Um... that's not exactly how things went, and that is OK :-)  Those of you who have been around toddlers know that they are a very cute, yet somewhat volatile group who seem to obtain a disheveled appearance within ten seconds after getting dressed and having their hair brushed!  This, on top of some chilly weather, made for a somewhat rushed "session"... but I think we still managed to get some adorable shots of Vivi being Vivi.  She is mostly an extremely smiley and happy little girl with a funny and outgoing personality.

One of Vivi's favorite activities is reading.  She has a ton of books and brings them to me, to read to her, all of the time.  She also likes to sit and "read" on her own as well.  So we got a couple of shots with one of her favorite books, The Color Kittens.  We then stopped by a nearby ice cream stand, on our drive home, and Vivi had her first kiddy cone... she loved the taste (of course!) but was not too fond of the cold feeling in her mouth... which made for some funny images.

As much as we love seeing her grow and learn, I do often wish that time would slow down a little bit so that we could experience each wonderful stage with her just a bit longer :-)
